May 2024 | Cornwell Manor
The Concept
This weekend wedding photography workshop, held with the incredible Rebecca Carpenter Photography, was curated to support photographers in elevating their photography portfolios and pushing design boundaries beyond the norm. Our vision focused on embracing layers, texture, and abundance – with a "more is more" approach.
As design-led UK wedding planners, we are all about pushing design boundaries and love to use these workshops to really let our creative juices flow, to stay ahead of the game with what can be created, whilst also helping to inspire future events and couples.
The Venue
Exclusive-use Cornwell Manor played host to this design-led, floral-filled celebration. Set on a 2,000 acre estate with an abundance of outdoor spaces to take advantage of, it's a luxury wedding venue in the heart of the beautiful Cotswolds. The venue lends itself perfectly to those seeking a countryside haven for their wedding weekend.
The Rehearsal Dinner
We wanted our al-fresco rehearsal dinner tablescape to bring a touch of Palm Beach to the Cotswolds, with plenty of colour and beautifully summery florals to create a relaxed but ultra-stylish dining experience. Place-settings were finished with personalised fans and textured linens to enhance the bespoke feel. the colour palette used the same colours as our design for the wedding day, but in more intense, vibrant tones, to add a slightly more relaxed and playful vibe to the aesthetic. the vases were hand-painted and we played with cute stacked apples, floral bowls and candles to add a fun tone to the beautiful florals on display.
Bridal Prep & Fashion
Our bride wore a selection of bespoke gowns from House of Savin, beginning with a fitted, drop-hem bodice that beautifully accentuated her natural shape, followed by a dramatic evening gown full of texture and layering. We finished the look with a custom embroidered, ruffle-detail veil from Rebecca Anna Designs to add an elegant touch of drama and romance, epitomising ultimate luxury.
Our bridesmaids wore stunning satin dresses in champagne from Six Stories, exuding a chic, modern vibe that perfectly complemented the overall aesthetic of the day. The soft, neutral shade worked effortlessly alongside the bride's gown, creating a stylish look that felt both contemporary and timeless.
Our final look seamlessly echoed the relaxed elegance of our rehearsal dinner design, with soft, pastel-hued florals gracefully embellishing the gown, adding a touch of personality and charm to the romantic ambience.
The Ceremony
The impressive architecture of Cornwell Manor set the stage for our outdoor wedding ceremony, where nature's beauty blended seamlessly with curated design to create an inviting, intimate atmosphere. Nestled amongst lush greenery, the space was thoughtfully designed to complement the natural surroundings, with our delicate florals in soft, pastel hues lining the aisle and leading beautifully up to the altar.
Cornwell offers up so many options for the ceremony location, with its stunning grounds, but we really wanted to utilise the beauty of the house as the backdrop.
We also decided to add softness to the aisle and make it an immersive experience. the aisle had a soft curve to it, with floral beds added in and amongst the seats. Making the guests feel utterly immersed.
The Wedding Dinner Design
We loved working to create something different from the norm with our first table design within Cornwell Manor, going against the grain by linking our circular tables to create the serpentine design we're seeing everywhere. This one is a real trend in luxury weddings for 2025. We wanted flowers in abundance to create a high-end, romantic vibe and the result speaks for itself, with florals flowing down the length of our tables and cascading to create a real focal feature in the space.
This design was all about the subtle details coming together, with a focus on florals and layering. We carefully curated a blend of textures, layering different types of linen and added unique elegant decor to complement the gorgeous florals. Even our crockery had a role to play in elevating our design to the next level - we chose feature pieces with texture and floral imprinting detail to tie in with the romantic, high-end theme.
The stationery was carefully designed to stay in keeping with our floral and layers aesthetic. With several petal shapes, all pulled together to create layers and the option to open and fan out to a full flower shape.
