2023 brought us an epically beautiful wedding that I am super honoured to have planned! It was a full plan wedding weekend over here in the UK countryside, working alongside the most special family to bring their weekend celebrations to life. Working with our couple and their family and our incredible supplier team was a total dream and is honestly a wedding we will never forget.
Every little detail was totally on point with all suppliers on board to make it the most brilliant wedding, not only for the couple but for Bluebird Creative as well and we can't thank them enough! It really goes to show that if you pick the right team then wedding dreams can come true!
'Thank you for organising such a perfectly smooth day. All of our friends and family were blown away by how perfect the day was and all of the special details you guys included for us. You put us all at ease and we enjoyed every second of it. We can't wait to see what bluebird does next!' - Elizabeth (Bride)
Elizabeth and Robert reached out to us at the beginning of 2022 having recently got engaged. We immediately loved their vibe and style and wanted to create the perfect wedding for them so we started venue hunting and they instantly fell in love with Euridge Manor the most beautiful English stately home with stunning gardens, epic countryside views and of course the iconic boathouse and lake, located just outside of Bath.
The brief was somewhere no more than 2 hours outside of London, with accommodation on site. A country house or stately home was preferable and flowers in abundance were a must. Lizzy's family was flying over from Canada and Rob's family are from the UK, so the Cotswolds felt like a good match with London airports not too far away.
Euridge Manor in Chippenham was the first venue we took them to and it blew them away immediately, with Lizzy's mum face-timing us from Canada on the first show round.
It was the one! And so we knew that it was going to be backdrop to their luxury UK wedding at Euridge Manor, at which point our imagination for design and style went wild!
Lizzy's dress was from Angelica Bridal by designer Helena Kolan and headband by Jennifer Behr. Olivia Mills was booked for hair and makeup and she nailed Lizzy's brief and it was amazing to see her hair and makeup looked perfect all the way through the day into the evening!
Photography was by the brilliant Jo Bradbury, the couple wanted a fine art style photographer and the photos just speak for themselves, capturing the day perfectly.
The videography was by John Taylor Films and my goodness has he done an outstanding job!
The girls got ready in the bridal suite in the morning, sipping on glasses of Prosecco and spending time together before Lizzy and Rob had their first looks. the bridesmaids all wore blue floral print mismatched dresses, which worked perfectly with the overall aesthetic. Allowing them to each feel confident in their own skin.
Lizzy and Rob opted for first looks together before the ceremony. These special moments together on your wedding day is what it is all about and the photos just take our breath away. Something they will no doubt treasure forever.
We decided to do the ceremony on the upper lawn overlooking the boathouse with a semi-circular chair layout. We had florals by Honeysuckle Flower Co decorating the balustrade, on plinths either side of the altar and down the patio steps mainly consisting of white and green with, pops of coral and then adding touches of royal blue by way of ribbon tying individual confetti bags and name tags for reserved seats.
The drinks reception followed down at the boathouse with delicious canapes and crisply cold prosecco and rosé all serviced by Kalm Kitchen.
We added additional furniture to the boathouse from Wed Head to add comfort seating and guests enjoyed the food, drinks and incredible views, whilst surrounded by stunning florals.
Transitioning to the wedding breakfast, the tablescape was a masterpiece of design. We had the perfect weather for dinner under the Rose Pergola, it wasn't too hot nor too windy so we created a long wooden banquet table stretching the entire length of the pergola.
This is where our design came alive and it looked incredible!
We layered the tablescape with an off-white cheesecloth runner, rattan placemats, pearl beaded charger plates and then white napkins, tied with the royal blue ribbon which held guests name places the finishing touch was a blue cornflower threading through the paper.
The rest of the table was decorated with floral arrangements adding pops of blue, coral and yellow in Grecian-style vases and cut crystal designed by Honeysuckle Flowers. We used Ester & Erik candles in Melon Sorbet and Buttermilk to bring the subtle coral and lemon colours through.
Scatterings of fruit enhanced the romantic floral moments, creating a captivating tableau that echoed the Mediterranean-inspired theme. The meticulous details, combined with the exquisite elements, painted a picture of love and sophistication throughout Lizzy and Rob’s celebration.”
As guests made their way to the wedding breakfast they encountered our bespoke escort card displayed, created with Lizzy's love of wildflowers in mind and leaning into the Mediterranean aesthetic we were creating.
Wild seed packets, with calligraphy on them, sat in floral box ledges with Mediterranean patterns applique on the front. the display was all about the flowers and fruit and really captivated the guests as they encountered it and made their way through to the table.
Lauren, you and Coco provided more than a service. You were wonderful, knowledgeable, creative, organized friends that we always looked forward to being with. You made our whole year with you a celebration. - Anne (Mother of the bride)
As the evening drew in, guests were welcomed into the Orangery for the cocktail hour and the cutting of the cake. We hired a bar from Wed Head and styled it up with fruits and the escort card display was repositioned as a back bar. Kalm Kitchen provided the most exquisite dessert station to be enjoyed alongside 2 delicious cocktails. The aesthetic, seamlessly filtering into each element of the day.
The bride and groom and their bridal party had some fun moments captured as the sun was setting over the boathouse and these are truly beautiful moments captured so perfectly by Jo Bradbury.
It was then to hit the dancefloor and all the guests moved down into the iconic ballroom with its own stalactite cave. The DJ surprised Lizzy and Rob with confetti canons during the first dance, which was a huge hit and the dancefloor was filled all night long, minus when all the guests went outside in the summer evening air to capture the sparkler shot.
Lizzy had a surprise dress change during the evening and Rob's face says it all. She looked incredible!
An incredible weekend wedding celebration, with gorgeous design aesthetics in the Uk countryside. A wedding planner's dream venue location and the perfect supplier team to match. Not forgetting our amazing couple and their family, whom we loved getting to know over our time together and are honoured to have been part of such a wonderful chapter with them
