Weddings in 2025 are all about stepping up the design game and introducing bold, fresh ideas. Couples are moving away from the traditional wedding day and embracing unique, personalised experiences that represent their own style and prioritise aesthetics and entertainment. Whether it’s upping the ante with production, exploring more daring colour palettes, or unconventional table designs, the wedding trends of 2025 centre on creating memorable experiences for the couple and their guests.
Let’s dive into the top trends that are setting the stage for weddings in 2025..
Draping
A trend we saw emerging in 2024 that's being elevated this year, incorporating draping into your wedding design is a big 'yes' for us at Bluebird Creative. Transform your ceremony space with extensive draping to add a romantic and luxurious feel, or fill the space over your dining tables to create an ethereal but modern vibe as your guests dine. Draping is absolutely in for 2025 and we're going to see it expanding across many areas in 2025, we are so here for it!
Cherry Red
Think bold, rich and luxurious with the introduction of red as a key colour for 2025 weddings. Gone are the days of playing it safe with whites and greens, utilising red in your design palette can produce a bold and impressive look for your day. Go big with a full table-length floral runner in differing tones of red and add tapered candles to add warmth and height. Tie it all together with accents of red in your table stationery and throughout tableware for the finished look.

Chartreuse
A unique but stylish colour emerging this year is the gorgeous chartreuse - a green reminiscent of your favourite pistachio ice cream. Hear us out on this one! Pair it with gentle pale pinks and neutrals and play with different textures on the table to really set off the design. This one marries itself beautifully with the incorporation of fruit & vegetables as part of the table aesthetic - think grapes and pears to add that natural, organic feel.
Maximising candles
You might be thinking this isn't new, but we're talking LOTS of candlelight! We're seeing couples opting for a sea of candlelight over any heavy flowers or foliage to create a dense glow throughout the dinner. Picture a dinner bathed in soft, flickering light, reminiscent of your favourite cosy, dimly-lit restaurant. Upweighting your candle order really helps to elevate your entire design and instantly enhances the feeling of luxury - the ultimate romantic vibe!

Immersive ceremony setups
Couples are moving away from more traditional ceremony setups and opting for spaces and designs that feel more carefully curated. An immersive ceremony focuses on creating an environment where guests become part of the action – we’re seeing 360-degree seating arrangements, the incorporation of live music and sounds and use of scent, lighting and textures to really help guests engage with the space. Immersive ceremonies are about making your ceremony feel more intimate and inclusive, turning the wedding into a real experience and creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
Enhanced production/lighting
Going hand in hand with the introduction of immersive ceremonies and experiences, this year we’re seeing a significant upweight in wedding production and lighting. This is one we’re loving! Couples are investing in high-end lighting designs to transform spaces and highlight key focal points of their day. It’s not just about setting the mood, it’s about redefining the atmosphere for the whole day, with a little help from your florals and room décor. Combining impressive flower installations and draping with different uplighters and illuminations can create the ultimate celebratory atmosphere as the day turns into evening.
Upping the party-game
In 2025, we’re seeing lots of couples keen to turn the celebration into a full-blown party! With more of a focus on creating an energetic atmosphere from the drink’s reception onwards, the emphasis is on epic entertainment, with incredible DJs and live, often roaming bands and musicians to spice up every element of the day.
Entertainment is being prioritised as a real ‘feature’ of a couple’s big day, with music being carefully tailored to the vibe. We’re seeing modern classical during ceremonies, laid-back acoustics transitioning into high-energy trios for the drinks reception, and big bands with two or more vocalists for the evening. It’s all about planning your entertainment to ensure a seamless flow through each part of the day, to result in a celebration that feels cohesive, dynamic, and totally unforgettable!

Structural modern florals
For updated florals designed to create their own statement and not just fill space, we introduce structural modern florals. But what does it actually look like? Picture bold, structured arrangements that go beyond traditional to create striking, dramatic focal points. Think colour blocking in singular palettes, but building blocks of shade. Embracing clean lines and utilising a mixture of textures and elements, these modern structures are all about adding visual impact to your day. Imagine floral towers, impressive, gravity-defying arches and installations - it's all about creativity and pushing boundaries!

Stripes
Stripes are definitely making a comeback in 2025, from everything to invitation suites to table decor. Whether it's a subtle nod to this design trend or an all-out aesthetic focus, stripes can offer a playful but powerful tool to play with to add personality and a stylish edge to your wedding day design.
Stripes are also making their way into cake designs and floral arrangements, creating a cohesive, bold aesthetic that carries through every part of the wedding. However bright or brave you go with your inclusion of stripes, this trend is all about adding a dynamic, eye-catching element to your celebration which guests will no doubt view as new and fresh.

Fruit & vegetables
This trend combines sustainability and style, incorporating fresh & aesthetically pleasing produce as statement pieces in everything from your florals and décor to catering and cocktails. The natural beauty and bold hues of fruits and vegetables are being embraced for their aesthetic and their versatility, and we're all for it.
How far you take this one is up to you, but we're anticipating lots of colourful citrus fruits adorning summer wedding tables this year, shifting to deeper-toned plums, berries and even veg as we move into Autumn and Winter. Think of it as a way of bringing new textures and colours into your design in the most natural sense! Take it to the creative edge with sculptural tomato designs, creating new shapes, or simple delicately placed peaches and lemons, the choice is yours.

The Bridal Era
Modern couples make the most of each and every opportunity in the lead up to their weddings, seeing the introduction of what we call 'the bridal era'. This is no longer a one day event, it's a whole calendar of mini-events and celebrations with a full bridal wardrobe to match. From engagement parties and multi-event hen dos to bridal prep/beauty days with friends and pre-wedding dinners, couples are embracing a whole series of fun events to stretch out the celebration and create opportunities for connection and making those all important memories.

Fluid lines
We’re excited by the rise of creative table layouts that break away from the usual circular or long table setups. Curved and serpentine-style arrangements are becoming popular for their flowing, dynamic design. Not only do these s-shaped tables add visual appeal, but they also encourage better interaction among guests and make it easier to move around the space.
We’re also seeing this trend reflected in ceremonies, with fluid lines and curved setups becoming more popular. Couples are moving away from traditional straight aisles and altar designs, opting for circular or semi-circular arrangements that create a more immersive and dynamic space.
